Valentines Day.

Valentines Day is typically a day for girls, but this year, it was my chance to be a girl.

Meet... H O B O BEAR.

He showed up at work on morning of Valentines day, inside a cardboard box, passed out drunk on whatever alcohol he could get his hands on. (In this case Pink). (Yes, that is a shopping trolley!)

I was nice enough to give him a home and clean up him, charitable guy that I am. Chocolate seems to like him too.

SHE tried to embarass me at work that day, but the package came before everyone came in. Muahahah

Thank you. =)

Veedubbing....

As I alluded to in my last post, I bought a new car to replace Lil Red. Well here she is:

A 2006 Volkswagen Golf GTI. Ain't she beautiful?

200HP turbocharged w/ 280nm of torque from 1800 all the way to 5000RPMs Mmmmm :P~ It pulls like anything.

I got the leather + bi-xenon light options. Originally I had a black GTI w/ sunroof lined up, but silver's just as good :)

More pics of her. :)

Pic of the dash, the dial's light up blue at night

Centre console

Cup holder in centre tray - believe it or not, the metal bit actually comes out and is a bottle opener. VW advocating drink driving?© :) Should be useful for picnics.

Here she is all nice and clean :)

Check out that ass :)

At the Blue Mountains, breaking her in :)

The wheels look the goods

Another ass shot. Nice curves!

If Lil Red didn't get written off, I wouldn't have bought a new car until 1-2 years later. So with a lighter wallet, there she is :)

R.I.P. LIl Red.

The last few weeks, saw the death of both Steve Irwin + Peter Brock, both of whom are definitely Australian icons. I'm sorry to have seen them gone, but they've both died doing what they both loved.

They say that things happen in threes and this may be a little bit distasteful to lump it together with two greats, but just over a month ago - my car, little red, also suffered the same fate.

A car came out of the side street, right in front of me in heavy traffic and I couldn't stop in time.

The result?

The right's more damaged because it actually went into their wheel arch. The good thing though, was that everyone was okay (minor whiplash for me). The bad? Lil Red was damaged beyond compare, and was written off.

Lil Red was the first car that I ever owned, and although she was a bit loud, I've formed an attachment to her over the years that I've owned her.

If she was repairable, I would've kept her. But alas, she's gone and I'm sorry to have seen her gone. Still feels a bit weird, but there's nothing I can do now.

How do I get around now? Here's a teaser ;)

WC '06: The Aussie Dream has ended!

Cruel ending to the socceroo's world cup.

After playing 90+ minutes of world class soccer, our Socceroos were bundled out of the World Cup in the most unfair fashion against Italy. I personally would not have cared if Australia lost to Italy during extra time or a penalty shootout, but...

With less than 30 seconds of game time left, Italy won a penalty kick (from a milked foul) and subsequently scored from it.

Final score? Aus-Ita 0-1.

Definitely not a defeat that was worthy of how Australia played last night, in fact the whole tournament. The final score, like in the Brazil game did not reflect how greatly the game was played by Australia.

Whether or not it was a bad decision, the result still remains and although we may have lost the game, but I think we've won. We've shown the world that we can play soccer, we've overcome obstacles and we've shown the critics that we can play with the best in the world and challenge them.

After we won against Uraguay, I had the utmost confidence that Australia can make it to the very end. They overcame that obstacle and created history! The first Australian team to enter the World Cup for 30+ years. (they shared half a qualifying spot [Yes HALF!] with Sth America who has 4.5).

They created history again when Australia recorded it's first goal, and then it's first ever WIN in the world cup. They've exceeded everyone's expectations and went into the final 16, whereas 16 other teams went home. In every game they played, they played with spirit and confidence and for that they deserved to be remembered not as the team that got knocked out by Italy, but as the team that created history.

One man, Guus Hindink, was responsible for getting us to the World Cup, the team was responsible for getting us so far in. Guus you are a legend, thank you for allowing our players and our country to realise our dream!

Here's hoping that we've shown FIFA and the world that we're worthy of a spot in the World Cup, and that we deserve our own qualifying place for 2010. I also hope that we manage to get a few more young stars by then, and show the world that we can definitely make it to the top.

So thanks to the Australian team, many of you may not play again, but I hope that the memories and the honour of playing on the world stage remains with you for the rest of your lives.
